The Nintendo Wii U has come out of the gate and has certainly made a mark on the gaming scene since its launch this past November. The console has been hit though with criticism due to a lack of new games being released. Trine 2 Director's Cut is a tremendous release for the Nintendo Wii U and is arguably the best game available right now on the eShop.

The game is an action-adventure game that has a lot of elements to it that are really going to rely on you being very imaginative and creative with your gaming. The game is full of complex puzzles that you are going to have to solve using the three main characters of the game.

In Trine 2 you are going to be playing as a thief, wizard, as well as a knight. Each of the characters that you control throughout the game have the ability to do different things. They each have their own skill sets, and the puzzles are going to require you to rely on these different skills in order to be able to progress forward.

The game does a tremendous job on the Nintendo Wii U of making full use of the GamePad for the brand new console. The game utilizes the touch-screen to help you surpass different obstacles you face throughout the game in creative ways.

The GamePad can also be utilized for off-TV play if you want to keep on going on the GamePad without hogging the television, always a nice feature to have on the Wii U.

Your abilities will improve throughout the game as you collect orbs as well as different hidden items. This allows the game to grow in terms of depth as you continue to move towards its completion.

In terms of the visual flair, Trine 2 does not disappoint as this is an absolutely beautiful game to play. The colors and the animations throughout make full use of the Nintendo Wii U hardware, with great artwork and landscapes to enjoy.

In terms of replay value, the game has a very in-depth single player campaign, as well as online multiplayer abilities. The game is going to take you hours to complete on your own, but you can also go it with some friends online as well, adding some nice depth if you want to play with friends.
