Wii action causing soreness, 'Wii elbow'

Players that describe themselves as "not very active" have been complaining of aches and pains most common from normal sports, only they are getting them from playing Nintendo Wii. The Wall Street Journal reports that problems with back, shoulder, wrist, and elbow pain have all been reported across the internet, as well as several cases of accidental Wii-remotes colliding with things they shouldn't be. A Nintendo spokeswoman had this to say on the issue:

"It was not meant to be a Jenny Craig supplement," Perrin Kaplan, a spokeswoman from Nintendo, says. "If people are finding themselves sore, they may need to exercise more." She says that while it might be more fun to play the games more aerobically, it's possible to play without leaving the couch.

The console itself warns players to be wary of people or objects around you before you play.
