Brutal Warfare of the 41st Millennium Hits Portable Gaming Systems for the First Time
THQ have anounced that Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command has shipped to retail outlets worldwide for the PSP (PlayStationPortable) system, marking the debut of Games Workshop's renowned Warhammer 40,000 franchise on the handheld gaming system. Delivering a cinematic and strategic turn-based single-player campaign and a dynamic global multiplayer element, Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command is also scheduled to be made available to Nintendo DS consumers later this fall.
"With Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command, we've faithfully brought to life the intense battles and war-ravaged worlds of the Warhammer 40,000 universe to the PSP and the Nintendo DS," said Brad Carraway, director of global brand management, THQ. "With an immersive single-player campaign and the ability to battle on handheld systems against anyone in the world through the game's multiplayer mode, Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command will appeal to both Warhammer 40,000 fans and gamers looking for a great action strategy experience."
