THQ Ships MX vs ATV Untamed, Raising the Bar in Off-Road Racing and Expanding the Genre's Best Selling Worldwide Franchise

THQ has announced MX vs ATV(TM) Untamed is now shipping to major retailers throughout North America, setting a new standard in off-road racing action with all-new event types, an innovative X-Cross career mode and massive open worlds for players to explore and compete in. The largest cross-platform release in franchise history brings MX vs ATV Untamed to the Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION(R)3 and PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment systems, PSP(R) (PlayStation(R)Portable) system, Nintendo DS(TM) and mobile devices across all major wireless carriers. The game is also scheduled to be released on the Wii(TM) home video game system in early 2008, utilizing the motion-sensitive controls to create an unprecedented interactive racing experience. MX vs ATV Untamed is rated "E" for everyone and is available for the suggested retail prices of $59.99 (Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 system), $39.99 (PlayStation 2 system, PSP system) and $29.99 (Nintendo DS).

MX vs ATV Untamed brings Rainbow Studios' legendary Rhythm Racing physics engine to the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 system, Wii and Nintendo DS for the first time as players battle to own the off-road. Rainbow Studios' critically acclaimed physics have been supercharged with all-new improvements for next-gen action, featuring throttle based power-slides, near upside down whips and new scrubs at full speed, giving players more control than ever before while keeping the smooth, authentic feel not found in any other racing game. Players will compete in new event types, race with all-new vehicles and experience the ultimate X-Cross career mode, where they must conquer all eight vehicles, including the new ORV Sport. The largest, most detailed racing worlds to date will showcase all-new modes and event types, pitting racers against oversized logs, rocks, water pits and more in EnduroCross(R) and let players tear through treacherous trails with all the machines competing against each other in Opencross. Stadium-based Supercross racing returns, with all the top Motocross and ATV professional riders, and the entire game will be available online.
