Super Mario First-Person Nintendo Wii U Concept

The Nintendo Wii U is roughly a year-away from launch, and Nintendo is beginning to gear up by creating hype and anticipation for its next-generation console, and the successor to the wildly-popular Nintendo Wii. We have thought about the Wii U input, and have an idea we are hoping catches the attention of gamers, as well as Nintendo.

What is Nintendo created a first-person Super Mario platforming experience.

Nintendo is always about creating new and unique gaming experiences with the Mario franchise, as seen with Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and so on.

What is Nintendo truly re-invented the platformer in a way never before seen.

Our idea is to utilize the unique presentation abilities of the Nintendo Wii U to immerse gamers in an experience like none other.

The idea is to utilize your television screen, as well as the Nintendo Wii U tablet controller together.

On-screen, you would have Super Mario in a world similar to Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, jumping around, hopping on goomba's heads, etc.

This would all be done in a first-person perspective, creating a very cool HD presentation. Imagine flying around as Mario, zooming through the level with ease and seeing Mario's world like you have seen it in the past.

The catch comes in that if this was the only presentation-method, you would get lost easily.

This is where the Wii U tablet controller comes in, and that second screen. While the game is presenting a first-person view on the main display, you would have your typical third-person perspective down on the Wii U tablet controller.

Can't seem to figure out exactly what is around you in first-person, look down at the tablet controller to get a different view of things, the enemies, the area, etc.

This would create a truly unique experience that could push the platformer to the next-level, a jump not scene since the launch of Super Mario 64.

What do you think of this concept, would it work and would you play it?
