Rumor: DS Games Can Be Downloaded Via Wii Console?
According to an article on Gameindustry.com, a rumor has surfaced concerning DS games and the Wii. The rumor claims that DS games can be downloaded through the Wii and be transferred to the DS. Nintendo has denied the capability of the Wii to perform such an action. However, Nintendo has stated that only demos of upcoming DS games will have the capability of being able to be downloaded via the Wii, and any content saved to the DS would be erased as soon as the handheld is switched off.
With this new function, all DS fans will not have to wait to buy an upcoming game or even have to rent it. They can sample the game through downloading it through the Wii. However, full released games will not be able to be downloaded. It is not stated whether or not gamers will have to pay to sample the upcoming DS demos that can be downloaded through the Wii.
