Nintendo has made it very clear that they are going to target hardcore gamers with the release of the Nintendo Wii U this coming Fall, and they appear to be off to the right start.

Nintendo and Ubisoft have confirmed that one of the biggest franchises today will make its debut on a Nintendo console this coming Fall.

Ubisoft announced that they are developing Assassin's Creed II for release on the Nintendo Wii U.

The game is set for release October 30th, and will likely be a day-and-date launch title with the next-generation Nintendo console.

Assassin's Creed III, also in development for the Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, and Windows PC platforms, is being hyped as the greatest release yet for the franchise that has been a critical, and commercial success.

Assassin's Creed III will feature a brand new star in Connor, as you will be thrown into the middle of the American Revolution, a very electric time in world history to say the least.

There has still been nothing confirmed in regards to unique features for the Nintendo Wii U.

The fact that the game is in development for the next-generation Nintendo console is a great sign though that Nintendo has some serious third-party support for their next console release.
