New Details and Release Date for Perfect Prosecutor

miles-edgeworth.jpg

After many months of media silence, Capcom has finally announced a Japanese release window and more gameplay details for Gyakuten Kenji, known to many in the West as Miles Edgeworth: Perfect Prosecutor. The Ace Attorney spin-off, set to ship to Japanese retailers sometime during spring 2009, will feature three different gameplay mechanics; investigation, logic, and confrontation. As with the standard Phoenix Wright titles, famous prosecutor Edgeworth must present evidence to shave off contradictions during his investigations. This time around, however, the game has a deeper connection with the adventure genre, featuring point-and-click gameplay and enhanced environment interaction.

It is not yet known if the Japanese release of the game will include an English translation option as some Ace Attorney titles had. Either way, more details on this anticipated title should come in more constantly now with a firm release window. What’s more, the title will be featured in Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show booth starting October 9th.
