Jenga World Tour for the Nintendo DS Ships

Famous Family Fun License Falls on to the Nintendo DS for Retailers Across North America
Atari has announced that Jenga World Tour, based on the world famous wooden block tower building game, has shipped to stores nationwide in North America for the Nintendo DS. Licensed by Pokonobe Associates and developed by Atomic Planet, Jenga World Tour is designed to make the most of the innovative control system on the DS. The game will offer unpredictable, quick-paced, tactical play that combines suspense and risk-taking, where mounting anticipation comes to a crashing climax. Jenga World Tour is rated "E" for Everyone, and is now available for the Nintendo DS(TM) at a suggested retail price of $29.99. Following the Nintendo DS(TM) release, the Wii(TM) version will ship on Dec. 5, 2007.
"Fans of the Jenga family of games will be thrilled to relive the fun of the original board game, with new updated surprises and gameplay variations on the Nintendo DS," said Matt Rush, Producer, Atari, Inc. "Jenga remains a timeless classic and will continue the tradition of being a family-fun game with the innovative gameplay the Nintendo DS provides."
"We are confident that Jenga's universal entertainment appeal will translate well into a video game," added Paul Eveloff of Pokonobe Associates. "Atari's Jenga World Tour for the Nintendo DS takes the party game style brilliantly to video game players of all skill levels!"
Players of the Wii version can get physical with the Wii Remote(TM) and Nunchuk(TM) controllers as they battle to keep the Jenga tower from falling, while on the DS the touch screen provides equally intuitive control of the fast-paced action. Players will experience sophisticated physics, and a multitude of game-play options, including multiplayer. The game will contain all the fun, intensity and challenge of the original boxed game with a wealth of exciting new enhancements, power-ups and twists that are possible only in the videogame world. Simple to learn and fun to play, Jenga World Tour promises great entertainment for all ages.
