GGL's "Up All Night" Tackles Wii's New "Mario and Sonic"
The Web's premiere reality videogame review show takes an entertaining look at the Nintendo Wii's latest party game
With the year's hottest selling console in hand, the cast and crew of GGL's "Up All Night" are proud to present the most entertaining videogame review you'll see this year for the new party game, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. Developed exclusively for the Nintendo Wii, the title is the latest game to be tested by the experts on "Up All Night" who bring their own humor and wit to the new video review format.
Filmed during the first eight hours of play during a "boys night in," the "Up All Night" crew kept the spirit of Mario and Sonic alive by dressing up for their own "Couch Olympics" taking on the personas of over-the-hill track and field Olympians.
"We were tired of the same old boring review and decided to combine GGL's media network with our own video review format," said cast member "DJ Wheat" Marcus Graham. "Gamers are always looking for alternative and entertaining ways of looking at games they might be interested in. I think the way we approached it with the Olympics theme is just what people have been asking for."
After reviewing "Halo 3" in their first episode, the "Up All Night" team believe this new episode is a true showcase of how game reviews can extend beyond the standard text and number review that people are used to seeing. The review archive is listed on the GGL Wire site as part of a roster of fun video coverage of events, gaming competitions and interviews.
"Video really works because it's four different personalities giving feedback in real-time, with a definite comical edge," said "Up All Night" director Chachi Ramirez. "When you have four grown competitive men playing the Wii in costume, you know its going to be a good time and make for fun video roll. It's good to be a reviewer."
