"We are very proud to offer Math Patrol: The Kleptoid Threat to parents, teachers and children because for the first time ever, a game exists for the Game Boy and Nintendo DS that combines quality software with educational content based on U.S. State and National mathematics standards," said Surya Jayaweera, chief executive officer, GXB Interactive. "As the father of three young children, I know first hand that by using the popular Nintendo handheld systems we can capture their attention and motivate children to learn and do better in school while they have fun."
"TOMY has a reputation for high quality, innovative toys and games that children have grown up with for decades," said Laura Yoshioka, director, Consumer Software, TOMY Corporation. "We are excited to be able to partner with GXB Interactive to continue this tradition while also offering the additional benefit of educational content with Math Patrol: The Kleptoid Threat."
Rated "E" for Everyone by the ESRB, Math Patrol: The Kleptoid Threat, allows players to progress through the ranks of the Math Patrol -- from Recruit to Admiral -- while completing exciting missions and testing their individual math skills in the areas that they need the most practice. Multiple story paths, customization options, and difficulty levels that automatically adjust keep kids interested and reward them for their actions.
Math Patrol: The Kleptoid Threat also includes Web based support from GXB Interactive ( http://www.gxbi.com/mpkt) that integrates website progress tracking as well as free corresponding worksheets, fun pages, pre-tests, post- tests and rewards such as certificates of achievement so parents and teachers can easily view and reward players progress.
