Fragile Wii Video Preview

The Wii is a console in serious need of games, and nothing would make us happier than a nice, meaty Japanese RPG for the system. Namco Bandai are set to remedy this glaring oversight with an exciting new Wii exclusive called Fragile. The game is set in a near-future, when a mysterious fog has enveloped the world and taken most of its inhabitants away. The main hero Seto must explore the wastes trying to solve the mystery of what happened to the people who once loved there. Darkness features heavily in Fragile, and the player will use a variety of light sources to find their way around the somber world. A regular flashlight illuminates environments and enemies, while a “special” light can be used to reveal hidden messages scrawled on the walls. The Wiimote is used to point these devices as the player walks around in the game.

The game has a great creepy vibe to it, and so far the art direction looks fantastic. The team responsible for Fragile on the Wii also helped to make Eternal Sonata, another beautiful JRPG for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Check out the latest video preview, below. The language is in Japanese, making us even more curious about this game. Let’s all collectively petition Namco Bandai to bring this out in the West as soon as possible.
