Nintendo DSi XL Specifications

Nintendo has announced that it will release a new version of its handheld, dubbed the DSi XL in North America and Europe in early 2010. In many ways, the DSi XL is identical to the DSi. It features the same on-board memory, multimedia software, and firmware as the previous hardware revision. It can download games directly from the DSiWare shop, but cannot transfer games to or from the older unit. It also comes with the same 0.3 megapixel cameras. There are some important differences in the specs, however. The DSi XL obviously features a much larger 4.2 inch screen. It also comes equipped with a larger stylus that looks more like a real pen. Battery life is comparable to the earlier models, but you will want to avoid setting those big screens to maximum brightness.
